Kathmandu, March 4: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index increased by 16.4 at the end of this week compared to the first day of the week, closing at 1,329 points.
NEPSE, the sole body to handle the capital market, had decreased by around 31.89 points last week.
A total of 3,320,510 units of shares worth more than Rs 1.53 billion of 150 companies were traded this week, according to the NEPSE.
This transaction falls short by 44.2 per cent in compared to previous week. A total of 161 companies were traded last week which saw transaction of more than Rs 2.74 billion were the sales and purchase of 6,234,350 units of shares.
Likewise, the sensitive index of the 'A' class companies has increased by 3.76 points and reached 288.78 point.
